THE BROOKLYN BOUNCE

Today was my middle-of-the-week day off. Wednesday evenings I go to choir. I decided to make the whole day an adventure and do some thrifting in Bushwick. I slip on my new (vintage) blue striped denim dress from Friends NYC Vintage; one of my new favorite shops, Victorian boots and a vintage wool hat. I'm ready for the day and look rather choir-appropriate for tonight.

After a long couple trains, I step out onto Morgan Ave. It's a sunny 75 degree day. Derek is with me as we start walking towards Knickerbocker. We take some time shooting detail shots of some street art for a secret project.

Then we head over to Urban Jungle of L Train Vintage. I love this place's 70s western vibe. So many patterns and styles; Gunne Sax, cowboy boots, denim jackets and more. My favorite thing to do sometimes is just feeling the fabrics first before looking at the actual garment. Running my fingers along the seams to feel for quality. score a pair of 7 for all mankind leather wedges and a 60s wool plaid skirt with amazing gold buttons.

hew, what a day already. It's now time to go to The Village for some singing.
