HAZY SHADE OF WINTER
When it starts to get colder, sometimes it seems appropriate to dress in gray tones. I try to make sure when I'm dressing in monochrome that the hues are consistent. Lightness and darkness doesn't matter as much as the color temperature.
Today I paired a vintage 60s blouse from Arbor Vitae in Brooklyn with a vintage Hugo Buscati wool coat from Revolve Clothing Exchange. To finish it off, I chose my vintage gray wool Ralph Lauren shoes.
It's challenging to dress vintage sometimes because the fabrics can be so fragile from age and wear. Halfway through the day, my shirt sleeve ripped underneath the arm. I was a little discouraged at first, but then Derek gave me the idea to just remove the sleeves and make it a sleeveless blouse. Fashion is all about being versatile.
